Lakme Absolute Shine Line REVIEW .........

LAKME ABSOLUTE SHINE LINE REVIEW :

Hi everyone !

How are you all ? today i am going to review lakme absolute shine line . These days colored liners are very much in trend . I had tried a golden brown liner previously that i really liked very much and as the color of my eyes is brown too so it really suited me well . But while purchasing olive shade liner i was not sure enough that would it suit me or not .. But i am quite happy with the results so far ... i am really loving its sleek application and smooth finish .So ,cutting it short now lets check out the full review in detail .

Price and Packaging : Lakme Absolute Shine Line will cost you rs.300 for a 4.5 ml pack . It comes in four different shades available online at http://www.nykaa.com/    Packaging is quite nice . It comes in a plastic body tube and with a metal cap and the brush provided is just too amazing to give you that perfect lining in just one stroke .. I would say that it is a perfect brush for that winged liner look .. Pretty much in love with its brush which is the major part in deciding the worth of any liner as if the applicator brush is good more than half of the job is done .

shelf life  : Shelf life is 30 months from the date of packaging

my take on this product  : I am in love with liner due to its qualities like  its sleek brush and its quick dry property . It  dries out instantly post application and you do not need to sit or wait closing your eyes to let it get dry and not ruin your makeup if got smudged when its wet . But for proper olive color to get noticed on your eyes you will definitely need to apply two to three coats of it otherwise it hardly gets noticed on your eyes . I would recommend it to women with lighter skin tone and those who don't have dark circles around their eyes as on darker skin tones it will be hardly noticed and wont do any justice to your eye makeup ... its a long stay one and does not get smudged if you happen to rub your eyes anytime .. gets off easily when you need to remove it without any fuss or darkening your eyes ...

the look i created with lakme absolute shine line ...

good things :
  • not over priced
  • travel friendly
  • applicator brush is just perfect
  • quick dry
  • smudge proof
  • water based formula
  • long stay
  • gets off easily

not so good things :
  • does not gives you intense color in just one stroke
would i repurchase : yes !! definitely

rating : 4 / 5
comments and suggestions for any further improvement of review are always appreciated :)

LAKME LIP LOVE CONDITIONER REVIEW.......

Got to purchase this lakme lip love conditioner from the range of lakme lip love products that are exclusively created in italy ... What made me purchase this product was its packaging and its tiny size ... absolutely perfect to carry with yourself while traveling in winters for those smooth glossy lips ...Purchased the color named flirt.

prize and packaging :

Rs.225 for a pack of 3 gm . Packaging is too cute , its a pot packaging with a red metal cap and when you open it you find the lipcolor packed in the shape of heart ... I really fell in love with it at the very first sight .Even when you hold it reverse you see shape of heart formed with the lipcolor in the glass jar. Packaging is just awesome and appealing to eyes ...

what it claims :

lakme lip love conditioner claims to hydrate and condition your lips with shea butter and jojoba oil . It comes with spf 12 to protect lips from sun damage.

My take on the product :

I wont say its a lipstick rather i would say it works more like a lip balm . But as lip balms generally don't provide any color to your lips this product from lakme will give you a tint with gloss . Its not a fully developed color but will will give your lips a nice light colored coverage . Perfect for everyday use , office goers or college going girls . The color named flirt that i bought is a pink toned color and gives a very light pink coverage to your lips . I would say that it does not lasts for too long , you will have to reapply it even after a light meal . It has got a light fruity fragrance to it that i personally loved as it is not too strong or overpowering . It cant be used as a base under your lipsticks as lipsticks will not stick to it due to its glossiness ... So, i would say that its neither a proper lipstick nor a proper lip balm , its something in between that you can use everyday for that natural non makeup look. One thing i really did not like about it is that i have to apply it with my lip brush as its a jar packaging and does not comes with a lip brush . You can apply it with your finger tip as well .

good things:
  • lovely packaging
  • good for everyday use
  • moisturises your lips
  • does not makes lips crack
  • gives a tint to your lips
  • nice fragrance
  • travel friendly
  • comes with spf 12
not so good things:
  • needs touch up every time you eat or drink anything
  • non hygienic as there's no brush with it to apply
  • have to carry an extra lip brush or use your finger tip to apply it
  • cant replace your lip balm

RATING : 3/5
REPURCHASE : Not sure !!

Review: Dermax AcneX Exfoliant Soap

Religiously following my skincare regimen did not, at any rate, spare me from random pimples which, I think, exist only to annoy me. Some are more fortunate than others when it comes to breakouts but I think no one is ever safe from them. Eek! HAHA! That felt like a good opening voice over for a horror movie. :))

I can only imagine how severe breakout can be a nightmare to some and I'm just glad I never really experience it at full extent. My little brother, on the other hand, is not so lucky. Ever since he started high school, his skin has been acting up. It's not as serious as I put it out to be but compared to my other sibling's, I think our youngest had it the worst. That said, I decided to test this on him and then documenting the progress. Let's start.
 Product Description:
(Taken from www.skinstation.ph)

Keeps pores unclogged, prevents blackheads and whiteheads with time-released Salicylic acid through advanced double encapsulation technology. Helps skin become clear, smooth and even-toned. Continuously works to clear acne even after rinsing.
Dermax AcneX Exfoliant Soap contains Sodium Stearate that is frequently used in soaps for its mild cleansing properties that are said to make it easier for water to remove grime off the skin. It was originally used to treat skin diseases as well. Also, it contains Salicylic Acid that is commonly known for its pimple-drying effect. From those facts alone you can just imagine how tough and drying this can be to the skin so if you have dry skin, I'd suggest you stir clear of this. On the other hand, for those with normal to oily skin, moderation is still key. We don't want to dehydrate our skin, right?

During the first 2 weeks, my brother used this twice a day but I noticed that his skin was becoming a bit dry and as I thought, he confirmed that his skin does feel stretched after wash. For the following weeks, I asked him to use it once a day - only at night. With this regimen, Dermax AcneX Exfoliant Soap still worked its magic without drying the skin. As per instructions, it is advised that you use this twice a day but then again, try to "feel" what your skin's current state is.
For a medicated soap, you'd expect it to be harsh on the skin and with strong awful smell. I used it a couple of times, too, and I can attest that AcneX, although it smells a bit like medicinal herbs, it doesn't smell as bad as you'd think it would. The scent is faint and it doesn't stay on the skin. Phew! It's easy to wash off, too, and it doesn't sting the eyes as much.

P.S I suggest you try this too. I like cutting up bar soaps into small portions to avoid the unnecessary melting of some parts. This 135g soap lasted almost 2 months. Not bad, eh? :D
As for the result: *drum rolls please*
Like I said, I'm not really acne-prone (thank God for that!) so I asked my lil brother to use it for a couple of weeks. He doesn't have severe acne problems but as any teen going through puberty, he gets tiny pimples around the cheek and forehead. Well as you can see, those tiny bumps significantly lessened over the span of 6 weeks. I'd also like to think that Dermax AcneX Exfoliant Soap prevented new ones from popping up. There are still some pimples left but not as many and as obvious as before.

Oh, please don't mind the difference in hue/color - the first one was taken indoors while the after shot was taken outside, in broad daylight and my camera was on auto focus. :)
I can say that it is rather effective! Even my brother thinks so, too. He's been bugging me to get him another bar as this one's about to run out soon. I'm beginning to think vanity runs in the family. HAHA! I would most definitely recommend this to those who have oily, acne-prone skin especially for teens. Budget-friendly and effective - who won't want that?
